Bond Circle
Before you invite anyone
Here's what your friends will (and won't) see. Your map opens only with your private link, so only you, and anyone you give that link to, can see it. Each friend enters a nickname and birth date, and sees only a confirmation that they've joined.
Keep your private map link to yourself. Anyone who has it can open your map, so share it only with people you trust. Your invite link is different. It lets people add themselves to your circle, but it doesn't open your map.
Bond Circle is for people 14 or older.
How each star is chosen
Each star reflects how the energies of the days you were each born interact. It's our own modern reading of Saju (Korean Four Pillars astrology), not a classical rule.
The six stars
Each friend who joins appears on your map as one of six kinds of star.
- North StarSomeone who lifts and guides you.
Around this person, you may feel steadier. You may feel you can lean on them when you're unsure.
- DaybreakSomeone you naturally cheer on.
You may find yourself encouraging this person without thinking about it. Small kindnesses can go a long way.
- Binary StarSomeone on your wavelength.
With this person, you may not have to explain yourself. It's an ease worth keeping.
- SatelliteSomeone you work well alongside.
With them, plans tend to turn into action. Working side by side may feel natural.
- MeteorSomeone who brings out your discipline and focus.
This person may bring out your sense of discipline. That can feel like a steady push to follow through.
- SolsticeSomeone who lives at the opposite end of your year, yet brightens your night.
They may feel like your opposite in some ways. Different styles can still make good friends.
Find your map again, or clear what's saved
Find your map
Your private map link is the key to your map. Save a copy when you create your circle, or tap Copy my private link on your map.
On the same browser and device, this page remembers your link and shows Welcome back with an Open my map button. On another device, or after you clear your browser data, open the link you saved instead.
If you've lost the link and no device remembers it, we can't open your map from this page. You can create a new circle, but friends who joined the old one won't carry over to it.
Your map and private link work only while your entries are stored. About 90 days after you create your circle, your map is designed to be deleted and the link will stop working. Each friend's entry is deleted about 90 days after that friend joins, so friends may drop off your map one by one before then.
Clear what's saved
Forget this device. On a shared or public device, open this page again when you're done and tap “Not you? Forget this device.” It removes the saved link from that browser only. It doesn't delete your circle. It doesn't clear your browser history or any open tab that still shows your link, so close those tabs too.
Remove a friend. On your map, tap Remove next to their name, then confirm. That deletes their entry, and you can't undo it.
Removing your circle. There's no delete button for your own circle. Entries are designed to be deleted from our active spreadsheet about 90 days after they're created. To ask us to remove your circle sooner, use our Contact page. In your message, include your invite link and nickname. Please don't send your private map link. Copies in Google's version history or backups may remain for a limited time.
Joined a friend's circle? Ask the circle's owner to remove you, or use our Contact page.
