This page reads two birth charts with our three checks (see How our compatibility reading works), and its advice is mainly about dividing roles between coworkers and business partners. Business compatibility example: Ocean and Rock

Two fictional partners: one born on September 5, 1984 at 10 a.m., the other on December 27, 1979 at 7 a.m.

  • Day Masters: Ocean (bolder Water) and Rock (bolder Earth). Earth checks Water, which traditional readers describe as one partner, here Rock, setting limits on the other's ideas.
  • Balance: each has elements the other lacks. The first has no Earth; the second has no Wood or Metal. All three gaps are filled.
  • Day Branches: Tiger and Dragon, not one of the Six Harmonies.

The result is 60 points, grade C. A "checking" pair, where one element holds the other in check, can still work well together when each person knows which decisions are theirs.
